Disaster-Resistant Forest Development

In Viti Levu Island, felling of forests and mangroves and degradation of biodiversity are in progress due to the development of resorts, and natural disasters due to abnormal weather such as coast erosion because of sea level rise and huge cyclone have become more serious.

We are putting in force mangrove planting involving not only children but also community people. 

We are carrying out nature observation and cleaning activities on the coast, and creating a lot of opportunities for the participants to learn happily the role of mangroves and seaside ecosystem and also to acquire the knowledge and skills of tree planting and maintenance. In addition, we invite children of the inland areas to develop awareness of learning environmental problems of the country beyond the region for mutual cooperation.
